Renaissance Learning has released their AR (Accelerated Reader) testing through this distance learning time so that students can take AR quizzes at home. They can access the site through Launchpad, just like they do at school. Mrs. Cathey, our Media Specialist, has it set up so students can take tests Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., similar to the hours they would be in school.
Please remind students who may choose to take an AR quiz of a couple of things:
1. Students will log in to Launchpad, just like they would at school. They need to use their student number and password. If your child forgot either one, please contact your child's teacher.
2. Students MUST finish the quiz once they start it. Even if they choose the wrong quiz or the right quiz in the wrong language, they have to complete it or they will be locked out and won't be able to take any additional quizzes.
3. We're operating on the "honor system". If a parent needs to read the quiz to their child, that's fine - especially with some of our younger students. But, the student needs to answer all of the questions on his/her own.
4. Mrs. Cathey will still be checking the AR scores every week for the scores on the Sunshine State book titles. She will announce the students who reach new levels when the school reopens for students.
