Principal's Message

November 3, 2020

Dear Conway Cougar Families,

I want to congratulate our students, parents and teachers on a successful 1st Quarter! It was quite the different start to the school year with various learning formats, new technologies and new procedures for everyone. I am truly amazed at how well everyone adapted and I am hopeful that we will return to normalcy in the near future.

It was great to see so many parents for our virtual Open House. Our teachers were able to present what students are doing in class with so many families! For those of you who were not able to attend, we missed you. Please be sure to contact your child’s teacher to schedule a conference. Your child’s education is our number one priority. Together we can work as a team to help them succeed.

During the month of November, we often reflect on the many things for which we are thankful. I want to take this opportunity to share just a few of them with you: We are thankful for our students who come (or log in) to school every day ready to learn – they give us all a daily reminder of what is important and why we are here. We are thankful for the teachers and support staff who truly care about student achievement and have the best interests of our students at heart. Most importantly, we are thankful for the parents that continue to share their most valuable possession with us; working hard and advocating as supportive partners in their children’s education, safety and well-being. For this, we are ever so thankful.

Despite any difficulties or challenging times, we constantly see dedicated and tireless individuals going above and beyond to make sure that great things happen in our school. They do make a difference, and the children, in their own individual ways, benefit from those efforts.

I would like to wish all of you and your families a happy, healthy and relaxing Thanksgiving holiday!

Sean Maguire
