National Elementary Honor Society

National Elementary Honor Society Club (NEHS)

Conway Elementary is proud to have a chapter of the National Elementary Honor Society. This chapter was founded in February 2018.

When does NEHS meet?

The National Elementary Honor Society Club at Conway Elementary meets on specific Fridays from 3:15-4:15 p.m. in Portable 5. Participating students are provided with a meal at 3:00 p.m. in the cafeteria, free of charge! Participants will also receive a schedule of upcoming meeting dates.

Who may participate?

This club is open to select 4th and 5th grade students who demonstrate scholarship and responsibility, and are willing to learn service and leadership skills. 4th and 5th grade students who have demonstrated academic excellence and have attended Conway Elementary for at least one semester during their 4th and 5th grade academic year are eligible to receive a candidate packet for the Conway Elementary National Elementary Honor Society. The application will be reviewed by the school based selection committee at selected dates throughout the school year. Students who have met all of the application criteria will be invited to an induction ceremony in order to become an official member of the Conway Elementary National Elementary Honor Society.

What will students learn?

Meetings will focus on developing leadership and communication skills, as well as completing service projects that impact Conway Elementary and the Orlando community. Members are required to maintain academic excellence in order to maintain membership status.

Who do I contact if I have more questions?
